With 3D still all the rage in Hollywood and video games getting a 3D boost with big titles like Killzone 3 for PlayStation 3 and Crysis 2 for all consoles and PC -- plus new stereo and autostereo mobile 3D gaming and entertainment options like Nintendo 3DS and new Tegra tablets -- New York City is getting its own 3D convention. The 3D Entertainment Summit, 3D Gaming Summit and the NY Mobile Entertainment Summit, presented in association with Variety and produced by Unicomm, LLC and The Bob Dowling Group, will bring the highly acclaimed entertainment series of events to the east coast this June in New York City. Check out exclusive videos from the inaugural 3D Gaming Summit below.
“Building on the success of its Hollywood-based 3D entertainment and mobile entertainment events, now both coasts will be hubs for networking functions, education, one-on-one interviews, keynotes and technology demos to harness the expansion of 3D entertainment, gaming and the mobilization of Hollywood content,” noted John Golicz, CEO of Unicomm.
The decision to expand the core brand of 3D Entertainment Summit and the Mobile EntertainmentSummit has been met with tremendous excitement and anticipation from industry executives and vendors.
“New York’s rich demographics for film, broadcasting, publishing and advertising are a natural backdrop for our thought leadership conferences” said Bob Dowling, Co-Producer & Conference Chairperson.
The two-day events will be expanded in 2011 to include the 3D Entertainment Summit, the 3D Gaming Summit along with the co-location of the NY Mobile Entertainment Summit. Both conferences will provide industry leaders with a unique experience to connect in an intimate setting through the much sought after in-the-round panel sessions and to engage in debate and define the latest developments in entertainment. This highly interactive and discussion-driven format allows entertainment professionals the opportunity to gain practical insights and capitalize on the 3D explosion as well as the mobile revolution – all in one location.
