The Big Bang Theory Goes Social on Facebook with Mystic Warlords of Ka’a

The Sims Social and Farmville get new competition from hit CBS TV show

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has launched The Big Bang Theory: Mystic Warlords of Ka’a. The new free-to-play Facebook game is based on the fictional fantasy card game that characters the hit CBS TV show have played over the past four seasons. The fifth season of the Warner Bros. Television comedy kicked off on its new Thursday night and the series has also entered into syndication. Now, there’s also the first video game, which fits nicely within the gamer mentality of the show’s characters.

Television to create an authentic Mystic Warlords of Ka’a game experience where fans can play for a just a few minutes or dive in deeper for more strategic challenges with friends.”

The Big Bang Theory: Mystic Warlords of Ka’a brings the characters’ favorite card game from the hit comedy to life in an all new digital collectible card game on Facebook. Fans can play with characters from the series, as well as challenge their friends in the in-depth and accessible gameplay. The game features two play modes: Duel Mode, a casual game providing quick and easy matches, and Battle Mode, where players explore the more strategic elements of the card game, battling it out and challenging their friends. Players can also collect and trade rare cards with one another.

The Big Bang Theory ranked as TV’s #1 comedy for the 2010–11 TV season among Total Viewers and Adults 25–54 (tied). The show was nominated for five Emmy Awards this year, including Outstanding Comedy Series and Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for stars Johnny Galecki and Jim Parsons, with Parsons winning for the second consecutive year. The Big Bang Theory was created by Chuck Lorre (Two and a Half Men) and Bill Prady (Dharma & Greg), who serve as executive producers along with Steven Molaro (The Class). Galecki, Parsons, Kaley Cuoco, Simon Helberg, Kunal Nayyar, Mayim Bialik and Melissa Rauch star in the series from Chuck Lorre Productions, Inc. in association with Warner Bros. Television.
