ORLANDO, Florida -- Novatel Wireless announced and showed off here at CTIA its new 4G MiFi personal wireless Wi-Fi hotspot devices for Verizon's 4G LTE and Sprint/Clear's 4G WiMax networks. The LTE MiFi 4510 and WiMax MiFi 4582 will allow up to 5 users connect via Wi-Fi to the respective 4G mobile broadband networks with speeds up to 12 megabits per second on Verizon's 4G LTE network or up to 10 megabits per second on Sprint/Clear's 4G WiMax network. The battery on the devices last up to 5 hours. The devices won the 2011 CTIA Emerging Technology Awards under the Mobile Consumer Electronics Accessories category.
