Europe Getting Limited Edition Legend of Zelda Nintendo 3DS

In this day and age, it's nice to have some extra goodies to pass around in the game industry, whether it's a collectible figure with an Uncharted 3: Collector's Edition, a Modern Warfare 3 Hardened Edition (c'mon, you want it) or a Gears of War 3 Marcus Fenix statue.  But sometimes the hardware itself takes precedence, especially if it's a limited edition design.  And lucky Nintendo fans will be getting that in Europe come November 25th.

Nintendo of Europe has officially announced that it's preparing a limited ediiton Legend of Zelda anniversary Nintendo 3DS system.  As you can see from the picture we've included, the system will come with an awesome black and gold design, similar to the Zelda style that we've gotten used to over the years.  The hardware will remain the same otherwise, with the same features you've come to expect from the other build.

And to make sure that Zelda fans are appeased right when they open the box, Nintendo will also be including a copy of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, so players can go right into nostalgia for nostalgia's sake and play to their heart's content.  As they should.  The game is quite remarkable.

Now, unfortunately, at this time, the bundle is being offered exclusively in Europe, and will go on sale November 25th.  Nintendo of America hasn't announced any plans, and we're not even sure if it's going to be offered in Japan yet.

So, with that, let me just add my two cents...WHY NOT?!  Considering that Nintendo is just days away from releasing Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword for Nintendo Wii worldwide, this would be the PERFECT time to give Link and his friends the ultimate push, and release this bundle in other markets where fans could truly appreciate it.  At least think about it, guys!  Because, otherwise, I'm gonna have to import, and these things aren't region free.

Sigh...collectibles...what are you gonna do?
