Release Date Spotted

Today, Ubisoft revealed the official release date for their upcoming Ghost Recon game, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Future Soldier. The long awaited squad based military shooter, which has been in development for well over three years. Will officially hit store shelves on May 22, 2012. Also confirmed was a  PC version, but at a later date.

Like most first of person shooters these days. Ubisoft will be having a multiplayer player beta in early April for both Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. We don't know if the beta is going to be public or private, but expect it to be available through XBL and PSN marketplace.

"Ubisoft prides itself on creating some of the most compelling and innovative experiences in digital entertainment," said Adrian Lacey, IP development director at Ubisoft Studios France. "Today we are feature complete in our multi-player, single-player and four-player co-op campaign modes. We have made the decision to move the date in order to ensure that all these ingredients are pushed to the highest level and provide a truly unique shooter experience. The Ghost Recon franchise is known for setting the standard of high definition gaming and we believe the extra couple of months will allow us to reach that goal. We would like to thank all Ghost Recon fans for their patience and look forward to unveiling some exciting new elements in the coming weeks."
