Microsoft is looking to entice new gamers to their best-selling Xbox 360 console with great deals this holiday starting at $99, though that starting price requires a two-year subscription to Microsoft’s Xbox Live online gaming service which most gamers want anyway so they can play with their friends.
Price: $99 and up, depending on the features. $99 includes a 4 GB Xbox 360 with Kinect hands-free motion-detecting sensor with a two-year Xbox Live commitment of $14.99 a month. Otherwise, bundles with the Kinect start at $249.99 with the Halo 4 Xbox 360 going for $349.99.

For those that want entertainment as well as games, the Sony PlayStation 3 is the choice. With it’s built-in Blu-Ray Disc player, gamers can pop in their favorite HD movie like the Avengers when not playing games. Of course, the PlayStation 3 is a great game console too with over 1,000 titles and the new slimmer PlayStation 3 is smaller than ever.
Price: $249 and up. Packages with the Move motion controller start at about $300. A $299.99 Assassin's Creed III package includes the game and 500 GB HD.
