Tokyo Game Show 2011: Can You Follow Beyond the Labyrinth's New Trailer?

This new trailer for Tri-Ace's upcoming game leads players through ancient ruins.

It's hard to not be curious about Beyond the Labyrinth. Even with in-game cutscenes it's almost impossible to figure out just what it is. It's gorgeous, both visually and audibly, but beyond that is anyone's guess. The game's new trailer, viewable below, doesn't tell us much new. It feature's a young girl, and implies that the game is told through a first-person camera view. Ultimately, though, the trailer raises more questions than answers.

The game's leading girl sure is talkative, but you'll have to forgive this English speaker for not knowing what she's saying. Ultimately, the game's only confirmed for a Japanese release, but, with the 3DS lacking an expansive library, one can't help but hope an English localization will be announced soon. Perhaps the playable demo at this year's Tokyo Game show will answer some of our questions about the upcoming 3DS game. Until then we can only scratch our heads.

The female guide of Beyond the Labyrinth is energetic, clumsy, and fun-loving.
