It's no secret that music is an incredibly important element to many visual narratives, be they television, movies, or video games. However, especially in games, it's often overshadowed by the other elements of the experience. In spite of that, there is some truly incredible video game music out there that deserves to be recognized. Here we search the current generation of gaming for the top five modern game soundtracks.
#5 - Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon
Fragile Dreams is an especially broken game with a few amazing elements, provided players are willing to dig through the shards. One of these redeeming traits is the soundtrack. The soft, gentle music fits the unbearably lonely atmosphere of the game.
Featuring a variety of instruments, the music can be dark and dramatic where need be, and convey any number of other emotions elsewhere. Even the ending song, featuring vocals by Aoi Teshima, has a lot of emotional weight to it. As bad as Fragile Dreams was, the music is a step above most.
