Delays. They happen quite often. Just when you think a product is going to come out at the proper time, something happens and forces the studio behind it to push it back a few weeks – maybe even months. We’re not even to the midway point of 2012 and we’ve already seen significant delays…and no, we’re not talking G.I. Joe: Retaliation. That movie needed retooling anyway.
So, with that, we’ve taken a look at the most recent game delays and compiled the top five that are going to pain not only us gamers, but maybe even the companies that release them, as they’re left with a gap that can only be filled by another product, maybe one of lesser quality. We’d rather see these games sooner than later…though the wait should definitely be worth it.
Let’s count ‘em down!

5. South Park: The Game (THQ)
There’s no question that THQ needed whatever hits it could release in 2012 to right itself, especially after the serious financial hit it took with its failed uDraw tablet. Amongst those releases, South Park: The Game was highly anticipated, as it not only featured a very strong development team at Obsidian Entertainment, but also the support of the show’s creators, Trey Parker and Matt Stone. Unfortunately, the game has been pushed back to 2013, so the team can work a little harder on it. It probably won’t even make E3, sadly. That’s too bad, because we definitely could’ve used a Butters fix.
