While Twilight fans have a new movie in Eclipse, there’s still no console videogame. But Twi-hards may find solace in a new mobile game from GameHouse, a division of RealNetworks, and Summit Entertainment. There are a pair of new mobile games called The Twilight Saga: Memory Quest and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse Movie Game.
Fans of The Twilight film franchise have embraced the mobile game series from GameHouse, downloading the first two titles over 2 million times. GameHouse’s mobile games provide fans with an additional way to stay immersed in the timeless tale of otherworldly romance just in time for the release of Eclipse.
“The Twilight Saga: Memory Quest” features three modes of Match-3 and Memory gameplay, each corresponding to one of the movies in the film franchise. Players match tokens based on scenes and images from the movies to clear the screen and progress through more than 90 levels of varying difficulty. The Twilight Saga: Eclipse Movie Game features single- and multiplayer modes, challenging fans to discover the depth of their knowledge of Eclipse by answering more than 400 text and photo trivia questions. GameHouse is also announcing an upgrade to their original Twilight: The Movie Game, now available as a free, all-in-one compilation. The re-release of the game includes question packs from the original release as well as select questions from the new Eclipse and New Moon packs.
“The Twilight Saga has captivated a massive worldwide audience, and now fans of all ages can enjoy one of the most popular entertainment franchises of all time on their mobile phones as they look forward to the next installment of this phenomenally successful series of films,” said Matt Hulett, chief revenue officer of GameHouse. “This is another top-quality license that we’re proud to feature in our broad portfolio of award-winning games, and we look forward to continuing the Twilight Saga journey along with all of the film series’ fans.”
The Twilight Saga film series stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson and tells the story of 17-year-old Bella Swan who moves to the small town of Forks, Washington to live with her father, and becomes drawn to Edward Cullen, a pale, mysterious classmate who seems determined to push her away. But neither can deny the attraction that pulls them together...even when Edward confides that he and his family are vampires. The action-packed, modern day vampire love story Twilight, the first film in the series, was released in theatres on November 21, 2008, to a blockbuster reception. The second installment of the film franchise, The Twilight Saga: New Moon, was released November 20, 2009. The franchise has grossed over $1.1 billion in worldwide box office ticket sales to date.
