The free-to-play market had a huge showing at E3 and was showcased at Sony’s Online Entertainment booth. Recently SOE converted all of its most popular MMOs into the model, giving new life to D.C Universe while reintroducing fans to the PlanetSide series.

One of our most anticipated games for the summer is actually coming right near the end of it, High Moon Studios’ Transformers: Fall of Cybertron.  We’re not sure if it’s the genuine old-school appeal of the 80’s franchise (and we mean in the form of animated series, not Michael Bay’s movies) or the fact that 2010’s War For Cybertron was immensely enjoyable.  Either way, we’re in for a treat with the sequel, as Activision recently invited us to go hands-on with it at a pre-E3 session.

While Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions and Spider-Man are great games in their own right (and proof that Beenox has a heck of a track record), there’s this inescapable thought that the games feel “closed in”, without giving Spidey too much room to roam around.  It’s a change of pace from what we were able to do with him in Treyarch’s movie-licensed Spider-Man games.  Again, they’re not bad at all, but some of you have been clamoring for a return to the “go anywhere, do anything” style.  Well, later this month you’ll be getting just that with The Amazing Spider-Man.  And Activision recently invited us down to go hands-on with him.

The Metal Gear Solid franchise has always been known for creating a captivating atmosphere that originated in Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes. At that time Hideo Kojima development work was the hallmark of game design and video game storytelling. But much has changed since then and with Snake’s storyline wrapped up in Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, it's time for the series to move in a new direction. They’re for, a new development team and a new main focus is the story behind Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.

Earlier today, Ubisoft announced that one of the premier video games franchises in the industry will soon be making it’s way to the PlayStation Vita. Assassin’s Creed III Liberation will be released on October 30 exclusively on the PlayStation Vita.

Last week, Twitch TV posted their booth schedule and during EA’s press conference confirmed Criterion newest game, Need For Speed: Most Wanted 2. Very few details were given, but Criterion is finally giving us the Need Of Speed that we have long been asking.

One of the biggest first day E3 surprises was Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Black List.  It has been two years since we last time saw the stealth hero legend, but much has changed since then and the hero has appeared to adapt a more modern stealth.

Ever since Metal Gear Solid Revengance premiered at Spike’s Video Game Award show, many question were brought up on how much were shown that was actual gameplay and how true is it to the Metal Gear brand. GTTV showcased a brand new Metal Gear Solid Revengance trailer answering many questions, but still leads much to debate on this addition to the Metal Gear franchise.

Calling all Jedi, Sith lords and Bounty Hunters! Lucasarts reveals a brand new video game called, Star Wars: 1313. During the segment, GTTV traveled to San Francisco where the game is being developed. This confirms all the rumors that have swirly around the project, while leaving us speculating.

Halo 4 is without doubt one of the biggest games of the year and is expected to sell well during the holiday season. As we approach fall, many retailers are starting to update their store catalogues to show store specific pre-order bonuses.

We are only a week away from E3, but we are starting to get a better idea on what going be showcased at E3 with more and more leaks surfacing as the event draws closer. On Friday, Twitch TV sent out their booth schedule revealing EA's newest addition to the Need for Speed Franchise, Most Wanted 2.

Normally we don't cover the movie industry here, but when we do it's always game related. Recently DreamWorks Entertainment successfully won the Licensing rights and have found themselves behind the wheel distribute the big- screen version of Electronic Arts’ street racing series, Need For Speed. No word yet on the actors who are going to featured in the upcoming film, but we are starting to get a better idea how the movie will shape up.

THQ doesn’t appear to have much presence at this year’s E3 event, as there won’t likely be a Darksiders II car wash to go with last year’s Saints Row event.  No matter, the company will still be there, showing off the upcoming sequel featuring Death, along with the recently announced Company of Heroes II.  But now it looks like it’ll have an additional game in tow, the latest in its ongoing World Wrestling Entertainment wrestling sims, as a trailer appeared online hours ago – before being taken down – that announced the arrival of WWE 13 on November 1.

Earlier today, Take Two announced that 2K Marin’s first-person shooter XCOM has been delayed to fiscal 2014. This isn't the first time that Take Two delayed XCOM as the project had a 2011 release date, but is now set back to Take Two Interactive's 2014 fiscal year ranging between April 2013 to March 2014.
