Electronic Arts is taking its latest Need for Speed racer on the road. Need for Speed Hot Pursuit On Tour is a seven-city event that will take this year’s hottest racing videogame directly to fans before its release in November. Each stop on the Need for Speed Hot Pursuit On Tour will take place at a hot local venue and will feature world-renowned hip hop and rock artists and showcase an assortment of the world’s sexiest exotic cars including a one-of-a-kind Lamborghini cop car.

Rockstar Games’ blockbuster hit, Red Dead Redemption, is going NASCAR again. Joey Logano will be at his “home track” on the NASCAR Nationwide Series schedule, New Hampshire Motor Speedway, this weekend for the New England 200, racing with the Red Dead Redemption car. Logano grew up about 150 miles south of New Hampshire Motor Speedway (located in Loudon, NH) in the town of Middletown, CT. Logano got his start racing in Quarter Midgets in the New England area before he and his family relocated to Georgia, and eventually North Carolina, to help further Logano’s development. 

LOS ANGELES -- Sony Computer Entertainment America had a 3D arcade set up at the inaugural 3D Gaming Summit. Featured 3D game demos running on PlayStation 3s included Gran Turismo 5, Pain, MotorStorm Pacific Rift, and Super Stardust. Producers from the games were on hand to talk about converting these hit titles into stereo 3D experiences, which will support the recent free firmware update for PS3. LIVERPOOL, England (Reuters) - Blatant disregard for oncoming traffic and speed limits will get you into serious trouble on the road, but drivers seeking similar thrills can indulge in a fleet of new racing video games due out soon.

After a seven year hiatus, the venerable automaker and elite racing brand Ferrari is returning to Need for Speed. On February 16th, players of Need for Speed SHIFT will be able to download a content pack that delivers 10 extraordinary Ferrari cars including the 430 Scuderia and the ultra-rare FXX and F50 GT. Now, Need for Speed SHIFT players will feel the rush of being in the driver’s seat, realizing the true driver’s experience of being behind the wheel of a Ferrari car.
