Electronic Arts kicked off the Soccer & Speed Tour, a nine-week program that will showcase Need for Speed Most Wanted and FIFA Soccer 13 across 65 cities across the United States. Starting Saturday September 22, 2012, the Soccer & Speed Tour will visit various locations around the United States such as Los Angeles, New York, Houston, San Antonio, San Diego, Phoenix, Dallas, Washington D.C., Miami and many more. The tour starts on September 22 in Chicago from now until November 25, fans will get the chance to playNeed for Speed Most Wanted and FIFA Soccer 13 and to compete in gaming tournaments filled with prizes. Criterion Games talks about Most Wanted in the exclusive video interview below.

Electronic Arts gave attendees at the Apple iPhone  press conference at the Yerba Buena Center the first live demo ofReal Racing 3, its forthcoming title for iOS. Real Racing 3, which is developed by the EA Firemonkeys studio, will bring the ultimate racing experience to iPhone 5 later this year, taking full advantage of its brilliant 4" Retina display and enhanced graphics capabilities and processing power, making it one of the sharpest, most exciting ways to experience the premier racing game. PlayStation fans know Sony Liverpool for its WipEout franchise, which dates back to its Psygnosis origins. Sony has closed the studio, which most recently released WipEout for PS Vita (which can be seen in the video below). The studio was reportedly developing two PlayStation 4 games. One PS4 title was a new WipEout, the other was an action game that utilized the same type of performance capture technology as Rockstar Games’ LA Noire.

Death Rally is a top down car combat game by Remedy Entertainment. Originally developed in 1996, Death Rally was remade and put on iOS and then later ported to PC. A lot of hardcore gamers could say a lot of great games came from that era, such as X-Com and Doom, however, Death Rally is far from a great game.

Developer Codemasters is no stranger to racing games and earlier this week announced GRID 2, the long-awaited sequel to their critically acclaimed game GRID, which is currently in production at Codemasters Racing Studios and slated for a 2013 release for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC.

Throughout the summer, Big Time Rush—the teen music phenomenon that stars in Nickelodeon’s hit television series Big Time Rush—is working with Nintendo to offer free hands-on demos of Mario Kart 7 for the Nintendo 3DS system at select stops during the band’s “Big Time Summer Tour.” After weeks of rehearsal and hours of game-play time, the band kicked off the tour on July 5 in Columbus, Ohio, and is currently traveling throughout the United States.
