SAN FRANCISCO -- With the introduction of the new Apple iPhone 5 today with its larger 4-inch 1136 x 640 16:9 widescreen Retina Display and faster A6 processor, gamers will be in for a real treat when it comes to mobile gaming on the new phone with EA Studios' Rob Murray claiming that users will see "full console quality" 3D graphics on the iPhone 5's larger screen. Murray showed off Real Racing 3 to show off the better graphics on the iPhone 5. This will all be enhanced by new sRGB rendering which bring 40% better color saturation for rich colors and the 326ppi Retina Display.


SAN FRANCISCO -- Apple today introduced the next generation of its iPhone family with the iPhone 5. The Apple iPhone 5 will sport a taller 4-inch 326 ppi (pixels per inch) Retina Display screen with a 1136 x 640 resolution. The screen also features better color saturation with full sRGB rendering. The phone weighs in at 112 grams, which is 20% lighter than the iPhone 4S and is 7.6mm thick, which is 18% thinner. The biggest news on the iPhone 5 announcement though is the addition of 4G LTE with a maximum throughput of 100Mbps, which will be available at Sprint, AT&T and Verizon.

Industry newcomer Spectre Media has released a new video game based on Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions' Starship Troopers: Invasion. The 2012 Game Developers Conference Europe (GDC Europe) concluded on Wednesday, August 15 with a successful showing and a final attendee count of more than 2100 game professionals.  Professionals from all areas of the game industry gathered throughout the three day conference to learn and network. The keynote roster included industry leaders from Ubisoft Montreal’s Creative Director Alex Hutchinson, to CEO of Wargaming.net Victor Kislyi, to Epic Games senior engine programmer Niklas Smedberg. 


Epic Games revolutionized mobile gaming with its Infinity Blade franchise, which runs on its Unreal Engine 3 technology. Now one of its licensees, Phosphor Games, is using Unreal to deliver another standout mobile experience. Horn was hand-picked by Zynga as part of its new Zynga Partners for Mobile program. The new game, which also utilizes NVIDIA Tegra technology for Android smartphones and tablets, is also available for Apple iPhone and iPad.

All used games, consoles, and electronic devices in the US go to a huge factory in Grapevine, Texas where they’re inspected, refurbished, categorized and then shipped back out to stores around the country.
