The man who introduced computer-generated technology to Hollywood with TRON has spent 28 years bringing TRON Legacy to the big screen. As executive producer of the new film, he was on hand at ComiTRON to discuss the journey and explain why this movie couldn’t be made even three years ago. He talks about the new film in this exclusive interview inside Comic Con’s Flynn’s Arcade in San Diego.

Disney Interactive Studios was on hand with both console versions of the new TRON: Evolution videogames inside Disney Pictures Comic Con 2010 recreation of Flynn’s Arcade, just down the street from the San Diego Convention Center. It was part of the ComiTRON celebration, which marked the end of three years of promotion for the upcoming 3D movie. Disney has renamed Comic Con 2010, ComiTRON. In addition to an hour-long panel featuring new footage from the 3D Tron Legacy movie, Disney Interactive Studios will be showing new Tron Evolution games and new mobile games both in its booth and off-site at a recreation of Flynn’s arcade.

LOS ANGELES – After a very long 11 year wait, Toy Story fans continued to flock to theaters over the second weekend to give the third installment of the Pixar Animation Studios original franchise a blockbuster number one outing. After pulling in a record $110 opening weekend in the United States alone, the movie earned another $59 million this weekend. Its domestic total is now over $226.5 million and its foreign take adds another $100 million to the Disney coffers. That’s great news for Disney Interactive Studios, which has Toy Story 3 games for all platforms in stores and had a large presence for the new games at E3 2010.
