ORLANDO -- Disney Interactive revealed the Aladdin-based second castle wing of is much anticipated handheld platformer Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion for the Nintendo 3DS handheld and released new screenshots. Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion's story bridges the storyline between Epic Mickey and the upcoming Epic Mickey 2 for consoles and fully utilizes the Nintendo 3DS' two screens as well as its 3D capabilities. Walt Disney Animation Studios (WDAS) debuted a newly restored digital print of the once-thought-lost 1928 Oswald the Lucky Rabbit animated short “Hungry Hobos” at the Telluride Film Festival on September 2, according to Dave Bossert, producer/creative director and head of special projects for WDAS. Oswald was revived into pop culture by Junction Point Studio’s Disney Epic Mickey game, which has a sequel coming out November 18. Disney Pixar's Scottish fairytale adventure Brave has targeted a November 13, 2012 release date for Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray and DVD. The latest animated feature-length film from Pixar has earned just under $230 million at the domestic box office and over $408 million worldwide. The Blu-ray release of Brave includes hours of all-new bonus material, extraordinary behind the scenes features, extended and deleted scenes, a mysterious and exciting, new short film, “The Legend of Mor'du,” and much more. TRON lives. With a third movie in development, Disney XD has launched a new animated TV series, TRON UPRISING. The new show, which features the voices of Tricia Helfer, Bruce Boxleitner and Elijah Wood, is set during the same timeframe as Disney Interactive’s TRON Revolution video game – between the original film and TRON Legacy. Disney has released brand new online games set in the TV show world, and is even offering the original TRON arcade game online for free. It's lucky number 13 when it comes to number one openings. Pixar Disney’s Brave is a bona fide hit at the box office with a $66.7 million opening weekend domestically. The computer animated movie featuring Princess Merida (voiced by actress Kelly Macdonald) beat out Cars 2. The movie is also receiving critical acclaim and has managed an “A” Cinemascore rating. Nintendo’s 3DS system got off to a bad start when it released last year, with a mostly lackluster launch line-up and lack of features for the system.  But now, finally, it seems to have gained its footing with some stellar game releases, including The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, Mario Kart 7 and Super Mario 3D Land, amongst others.  And while its showing at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo wasn’t the greatest, there are still some great games to look forward to.
