Ugh.  Game of Thrones.  Not the show, mind you, and certainly not A Song of Fire and Ice.  Those are high-quality works that, by all means, shouldn’t be missed, especially for the significant twists and turns.  But the game, recently released by Atlus and Cyanide Studios, leaves a lot to be desired.  It’s fallen completely flat on its face, leaving a diabolically thrilling storyline dangling in the wind because of faulty gameplay and a presentation that can’t compare to The Witcher 2 or even Kingdoms of Amalur.  With that, we’re left wondering…why didn’t someone else grab this franchise?

Electronic Arts never fails to showcase a strong array of third-party titles for both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, as well as other consoles each year they attend E3.  Last year was a huge highlight between such games as SSX and Mass Effect 3, but what does the company have to lean on this year?  Well, besides big sports hits like Madden NFL 13 and the upcoming Overstrike from Insomniac Games, we’ve got a few ideas as to what the company should officially announce at the show.  With that, here are our suggestions…

NEW YORK CITY – Robert Griffin III, who is best known to sports fans as RGIII, is taking control of the Washington Redskins this season. The Heisman trophy-winning quarterback from Baylor has just as much skills off the gridiron as he displays on it, which seems appropriate given that his skills are often compared to that of a video game character. Before going as the second pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, RGIII took some time to talk NCAA Football 13 and Madden NFL 13 in this exclusive video interview below.

Throughout the history of video games, the oldest stereotype surrounding the industry has always been do violent video games affect player behavior and personality. It is a known fact that people who play games are exposed to more violence than the average consumer. From nuking entire civilization to obliterating players online, it’s has become more and more common now that games are more focus on squarely providing violent action. For this reason alone, parents have long held an underlining negative attitude towards the industry and those who stand by it, but is this criticism injustice or have developers gone to far? Should government step in?

While we’re big fans of where the SSX series has gone as of late (the February 2012 release has blown us away, and we’re still challenging leaderboard times), we can’t help but think back to the classic days of the series, back when we were playing SSX Tricky and SSX 3, not caring about sudden drop-offs or weather conditions and instead just having fun grinding down the mountain with a hotly dressed babe or some dude with a red-headed afro.  Apparently, Electronic Arts lovingly remembers those days too, and on May 1, it’ll be celebrating them with an upcoming SSX Mt. Eddie and Classic Characters Bundle Pack, for both Xbox Live and PlayStation Network.
