Midway Arcade Review (iPad/iOS)

Remember the old Midway Arcade Treasures releases?  Or for that matter, Midway’s Greatest Hits on the PS One?  I sure do.  I spent hours on end reliving the games of my youth thanks to these compilations, and I couldn’t get enough of them.  But ever since the company was scuttled a couple of years ago, I always wondered if they would come back in some form.  And while I would’ve preferred a release on a console over an iOS-enabled device, I’ll definitely take what I can get from Midway Arcade.  This is a collection of arcade bliss that everyone should experience.

E3 2011: GamersFirst Reveals New APB Reloaded Features

LOS ANGELES - GamersFirst, (www.gamersfirst.com) one of the leaders in free to play massively multiplayer online games today announced a host of new features for its popular cops versus robbers MMO “APB Reloaded” currently in open beta testing. Features include Clan Warfare, updated matchmaking system and new districts.  Players can get instant access to the APB Reloaded open beta by creating a GamersFirst account, downloading the GamersFirst Live! game downloader and installing APB Reloaded. Once installed gamers choose a side and then create customized characters that fight over control of San Paro.

Big Games of 2010: Realtime Worlds Unleashes APB on June 29

One of the big games of 2010 is coming this summer. Realtime Worlds and Electronic Arts are bringing the massively multiplayer online (MMO) game APB (All Points Bulletin) to the PC on June 29th in North America, July 1st in mainland Europe and July 2nd in the UK. APB takes the universal theme of Criminals and Enforcers and brings it to a persistent, open-world, online multiplayer setting in the modern, crime-ridden fictional city of San Paro. Some players will achieve notoriety by feeding on the city, its people and its businesses…the Criminals. Some will live by a higher code and instead feed on the criminals and their organizations…the Enforcers. This dynamic where players become the core content for other players is one of the many unique features of APB.

GDC 2010: Epic Games Showcases New Technology

Epic Games will reveal the latest Unreal Engine 3 features and partner updates at a press conference taking place during next week’s annual Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, CA. The press conference will take place in Epic’s expo suite (Moscone Center - South Hall #202) where the new features will be demonstrated alongside free advanced training sessions for existing users. Epic will also offer one-one-one presentations for its prospective customers, evaluators, licensees, and members of its Integrated Partners Program.
