When Bungie bid farewell last year with the release of Halo: Reach, that should’ve been the end of the franchise, yes?  Ha, yeah right.  This is a big moneymaker for Microsoft and they weren’t about to let the series go quietly into that good night.  So, along with announcing the forthcoming Halo 4 (and thus opening the door for a new trilogy), the company also confirmed its high-definition remake of the original that started it all, Halo: Combat Evolved.  So, now that it’s here, is it a fond tribute to everything Master Chief, or an insult?

Earlier this evening at the New York Comic Con event, a Halo panel was held, where 343 Industries discussed some of the newer features that would be going into the game.  Not surprisingly, these features are actually Kinect enabled, which means you'll be able to use your motion-sensing device for some cool things.  While they aren't entirely gameplay related, they are interesting, to say the least.

We've got good news and bad news regarding cars in the upcoming racing game Forza Motorsport 4.  The bad news is that you won't be able to drive Porsches in the game.  EA had the cars yanked from Microsoft's racer due to the fact they hold some rights for their Need For Speed series.  But fret not, for you'll be cornering in Forza with one of the better vehicles in Porsche's place -- the Warthog from Halo.

As a pretty consistent reader of Electronic Gaming Monthly back during middle school and high school, I’ve seen a fair share of April Fools’ Day video game centric jokes. And I admit, Cheat Code Central got me with one back in elementary school when they used to post upcoming games under the parody developer “Sloof Lirpa.” Pretty sure I sent an e-mail to their fake developer e-mail address begging for Cheat Code Central vs Capcom on the Sega Dreamcast. I refuse to be fooled again.
