As consumer confusion continues in the 3D TV market, the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) has stepped in. The CEA is the nation’s largest technology trade association, representing more than 2,000 technology manufacturers, retailers, service providers and installers and is best known for hosting events like CES 2011. The organization is seeking proposals for standardizing 3D active eyewear that uses an infrared (IR) synchronized interface from consumer electronics (CE) manufacturers. The organization has launched the 3D Technologies Working Group to work through submissions.
