Fresh from a triumphant first season on the Starz original series “Spartacus: Blood and Sand,” stars Andy Whitfield (Spartacus), Lucy Lawless (Lucretia), John Hannah (Batiatus), Viva Bianca (Ilythia), and Executive Producer and Head Writer Steven S. DeKnight will appear on a panel at the 2010 San Diego Comic-Con on Friday, July 23 at 3:15pm PST (Room 6BCF). The day ends with a Spartacus-sponsored late night the “From Dusk to Con” party where the stars will be in attendance.

Bethesda Softworks announced that “All Roads”, the hardcover graphic novel which tells the story of some of the characters and events that lead up to Fallout: New Vegas, will feature cover art created by legendary illustrator and comic book artist Geof Darrow with colors by Peter Doherty. The graphic novel also features art by Jean Diaz (Incorruptible) and Wellinton Alves (Marvel’s Shadowland: Blood on the Streets, Nova). The full cover illustration will be revealed at Comic Con 2010 in San Diego.

Sony Pictures is unleashing the first 3D videogame adaptation on Saturday at Comic Con 2010. Filmed using the same camera system as James Cameron’s Avatar, Resident Evil: Afterlife will be shown in Hall H on Saturday at 4pm in front of a packed crowd.

As part of a multi-tiered programming, digital and marketing campaign custom-designed for the 2010 San Diego Comic-Con, SHOWTIME announced the launch of Dexter Game On (DexterGameOn.com), an interactive promotional game that will take place simultaneously at San Diego Comic-Con and in five other major cities across the U.S. from Wednesday, July 21 to Sunday, July 25. SHOWTIME has worked with SCVNGR – an iPhone and Android-based application that is all about going places, doing challenges and earning points – to build DEXTER-themed challenges for the game. The collaboration marks the first time that a television network has teamed up with SCVNGR.

Gamers can become the next DC Universe legend at Comic Con 2010, joining the ranks of Superman, Batman and the Green Lantern. Next weekend in San Diego, Sony Online Entertainment will host a videogame tournament at its Comic Con booth July 22-25.  Fans will have their chance to become legends in the new online world of DC Universe Online (DCUO), competing for great prizes and a chance to create a character for SOE’s upcoming action MMO, DC Universe Online.

Videogames will once again play a major role at Comic-Con 2010. Ubisoft announced its game lineup for Comic-Con International: San Diego. The company will feature game demos and unveil new details on its products at both its company’s booth and during exclusive panels at the convention.
