Today marks the start of the NCAA Football 13 My Heisman Cover Vote, which allows fans to cast their vote on the EA SPORTS NCAA Football Facebook page for one of eight Heisman Trophy winners to accompany former Baylor University quarterback Robert Griffin III on the cover of EA SPORTS NCAA Football 13. Developed in Orlando, Florida by EA Tiburon, and licensed by The Collegiate Licensing Company, a division of IMG College, NCAA Football 13 will be available on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on July 10.

For those who want to take a break from playing EA Sports’ NCAA Football 12, ESPN 3D will double the amount of college football telecasts this year as the network plans to air 20 regular-season games along with the Allstate BCS National Championship and five postseason bowl games.  The network will kick off its second year of extensive college football coverage with two games in five days over Labor Day weekend when UNLV travels to Wisconsin on Thurs., Sept. 1, at 8 p.m. ET with Miami at Maryland on Mon., Sept. 5, at 8 p.m.

The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS) has named the winners for its annual scholarship programs.  Four recipients – Hunter Ian Hart (Florida Interactive Entertainment Academy), Melissa Kronenberger (Savannah College of Art & Design), Logan McEwan (Florida State University, College of Law) and Joshua Cain (Duke University, Fuqua School of Business) -- will receive a total of $10,000 ($2,500 to each recipient) through the Randy Pausch and Mark Beaumont scholarship funds.  The scholarships were awarded by the AIAS Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the organization.

MIAMI, Florida – Dirk Nowitzki and Mark Cuban's Dallas Mavericks finally won their first NBA World Championship as Dallas beat Miami 105-95 in a rematch of the 2006 NBA Finals, which Dwayne Wade and the Miami Heat won. This time around, Dirk would not let his team lose as he took NBA Finals MVP honors for a remarkable series. Dirk talks to GamerLive.TV about what video games he played growing up. Dirk Nowitzki is now an NBA champion and an NBA Finals MVP. Thanks to his leadership, the Dallas Mavericks take out the arrogant Miami Heat in Florida. Nowitzki was able to beat the Heat even with a fever in game five. And he showed class by failing to get into a dirt match with LeBron James and Dwyane Wade after they made fun of him playing sick. Sony Computer Entertainment America and Polyphony Digital, in collaboration with Nissan North America, announced the final 16 contestants moving on to the last round of GT Academy, ready to compete for the opportunity to become a part of a professional race team.  The 16 finalists emerged from a group of more than 53,000 registrants as the top racers from the National Finals Event held at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort on March 22-23.  They will now travel to the well-known Silverstone racing circuit in the United Kingdom to participate in a week-long boot camp in June.  The top driver will become the official GT Academy winner for the U.S. and will have the opportunity to train with elite race car drivers and compete as part of a professional Nissan racing team in an undisclosed race.

ORLANDO, Florida -- The CTIA Wireless 2011 officially opened today with a bang as Samsung announced two new Galaxy Tab tablets, the Galaxy Tab 10.1 and 8.9, to its growing line of tablets. In its on-stage presentation, Samsung showed different users favoring different sizes based on their needs and lifestyles. With the announcement, Samsung now has the most comprehensive size range of tablets with a 7, 8.9 and 10 inch tablets. Samsung highlighter the sizes with a huge 3D sign in front of the CTIA trade show entrance. Samsung has been one of the more successful competitors to Apple's iPad and iPad 2 in the hot and growing tablet space.

SAN FRANCISCO, California – While the video game industry gathers in San Francisco for GDC 2011, there are positive steps taking place in Washington, D.C. that could benefit game makers. Representatives Kevin Brady, R-Texas, and Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla., recently announced the launch of the new Congressional Caucus for Competitiveness in Entertainment Technology (E-Tech Caucus) at a press conference on Capitol Hill. The 39-member caucus will work toward sustaining a robust computer and video game industry by educating Members of Congress and the American people on the industry’s economic, educational and social benefits.
