At E3 2010, Disney Interactive Studios and Propaganda Games showed off a new Pirates of the Caribbean game. Now, production has commenced on location in Hawaii, the United Kingdom and Los Angeles on Walt Disney Pictures’ and Jerry Bruckheimer Films’ sweeping comedy adventure Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, directed by Rob Marshall (Chicago), the fourth entry in the blockbuster franchise which has already reaped $2.7 billion in worldwide box office from the previous three films, and the first to be filmed and presented in Disney Digital 3D.  

English actress Gemma Arterton is Hollywood’s go-to girl when it comes to big budget action movies, thanks to her take as Bond girl Strawberry Fields in Quantum of Solace. Hot off Warner Bros.’ successful 3D re-make of Clash of the Titans, Arterton is now starring opposite Jake Gyllenhaal in Jerry Bruckheimer’s Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. The new summer blockbuster is based on Jordan Mechner’s videogame franchise. Arterton’s character, Tamina, was crafted for the movie, similar to Io, who was one of the few original characters in the new Clash. The actress talks about her own videogame background and what it was like to bring this beloved videogame franchise to the big screen as an epic Walt Disney Pictures movie.

Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment has just released Jerry Bruckheimer’s G-Force on Blu-ray Disc and DVD. Unfortunately, the home version ditches the 3D, but still looks great in 1080p on the Blu-ray Disc. The combo pack comes with a Blu-ray, DVD and a digital copy for your iPod, PC or PSP.
