Before Crystal Dynamics became known as the studio that saved Tomb Raider from a fate worse than Death (c’mon, Core Design was lagging with Angel of Darkness), they had worked on a number of original franchises.  Among them was Legacy of Kain, which was handed to them after Silicon Knights worked on Blood Omen for PS One.  The team configured the series into a third-person action/adventure game, one featuring a reaver named Raziel working his way through a dank underworld, seeking revenge on Kain for actions that can’t be undone.

Lara Croft has been through a lot over her career as an explorer. She has been chased by plenty of boulders and has avoided many other various hazards in search for some of the world's ancient artifacts. But none of that can compare to the abuse Lara will be receiving in the Tomb Raider reboot, set to come out in the fall of next year. In this exclusive interview, Head of Crystal Dynamics Darrell Gallagher talks about the dangers Lara Croft will face and what she can do to overcome them.

When Lara Croft made her debut in the world of video games, she was an absolute stunner. She was a graceful jumper, capable of clearing chasms with ease and avoiding boulders, arrows, and anything else that got in her way. She also was quite the looker. Lara Croft helped pave the way for the sexy video game heroine with her dangerous curves and her trademark half-grin she would wear in the face of danger. However, for the next Tomb Raider game, Crystal Dynamics has a different idea in mind, replacing sexiness with grittiness. A new trailer for the game has been released, giving us an idea of what to expect with the new Lara Croft.

Earlier on, I gave my top 5 games that have been confirmed to show up at E3 this year. The real fun leading up to E3 is all of the discussion about what people believe will be there or what people want to see there. I figured I might as well join in the party and give 5 games I would want to see at E3. They don't have to be in development to be on this list. Any game that may not realistically show up is allowed. You gotta dream sometimes!
