Opinion: Absence Of Splitscreen Multiplayer In Battlefield 3 Gives Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 An Opportunity To Shine

Okay, Battlefield 3 fanboys, you got me. It is a little unfair. Battlefield 3 has no split-screen gaming. Does it mean that it won't be a great title? Absolutely not. I get pumped up every time I hear Jay-Z's "99 Problems" mixed in with the awesome "in-game" footage in the commercial. It's unavoidable while watching any football game on Sunday. And positive reviews are pouring in. Like most of you, I already have my copy pre-ordered. And I'm excited--but, a little less excited than I am about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

March Madness Continues for Sweet 16 of Madden NFL 12 Cover Athlete Tournament
With March Madness on-going in the NCAA basketball tournament, EA SPORTS and ESPN announced the Sweet 16 NFL players that have advanced through to the next round of the Madden NFL 12 Cover Vote campaign. Players that are still in contention to appear on the cover of Madden NFL 12 include Aaron Rodgers (QB, Packers), Danny Woodhead (RB, Patriots), Drew Brees (QB, Saints) and Patrick Willis (LB, 49ers), along with 12 others. Over 6.8 million votes were cast on ESPN.com’s “SportsNation” during the first week of the Madden NFL 12 Cover Vote campaign (March 21 – 28).
