Spartacus: Vengeance Cast Discuss the Challenges of Filming, "It's Really Harrowing"

Note: This article contains material appropriate to the mature rating of the series and contains small spoilers from the season premiere.

It's no surprise that Spartacus: Vengeance has done as well as it has. The STARZ show has drawn in an immense (and diverse) crowd. Packed with gore, nudity, sex, and a surprising dose of humanity, the show has done well for itself and has already been renewed for a third season. Writer Steven DeKnight continues to impress with his scripts, as testament to the first episode of season 2. The episode boasted plenty of gore (opening with an impressive sword fight) and holding true to it's "M for Mature" rating. DeKnight did his research, describing in a live web interview recently that he prides the show on being as realistic as possible for the setting. Viewers are taken on a whirlwind ride during every episode, but with all that violence and sex, one has to wonder how the cast feels filming some of these scenes. Liam McIntyre (Spartacus), Lucy Lawless (Lucretia), and Viva Bianca (Illithyia) shared their personal experiences on set – and their answers may surprise you.

SPARTACUS: VENGEANCE Premieres Tonight on STARZ!

The new season of Spartacus: Vengeance, airs tonight on STARZ at with the episode entitled "Fugitives". Returning only 8 weeks after the devastating blood bath at the House of Batiatus, the season picks up with Spartacus (Liam McIntyre) and his rag-tag group of freed slaves and rogue gladiators doing what they can to stay alive. Branded rebels, Spartacus and his gang are hunted by the Roman soldiers and mercenaries. The group is forced to hid in the outskirts of Capua, getting food, money, supplies, and weapons however they can (generally, their plans include a lot of blood).

Get ready to make it rain bullets, action and all-out insanity as Bulletstorm, the highly anticipated shooter from People Can Fly, Epic Games and Electronic Arts, is now available in stores.  From the pulp sci-fi single-player campaign to the relentless multiplayer modes, Bulletstorm injects the fun back into first-person shooters. Bulletstorm is available on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. The PC version is playable in 3D with NVIDIA 3D Vision. Also available today in limited quantities is the Bulletstorm Epic Edition for Xbox 360 which grants players early access to the Gears of War 3 beta. With Activision’s Mature-rated Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 passing the $1 billion mark, Sega's Bayonetta selling well, and big M-rated 2010 game releases like Microsoft's Halo Reach, Electronic Arts Dante’s Inferno and Take-Two’s BioShock 2 on the way, ratings remain a hot button topic. According to a national survey released today by The Harrison Group and Activision Publishing, 82% of parents and 75% of children who play games are familiar with ESRB ratings system.
