NBA Live 13 Was Suppose to Launch Today On XBLA And PSN

NBA Live 13 has already been canceled by Electronic Arts. Needing more time to error out the problems that game had, a repeat occurrence that set back the NBA Live franchise another year. It's been since 2009 since EA has published a NBA basketball simulator, allowing 2k Sports to seize control of the market. It was previously rumored that NBA Live 13 was going to launch for Xbox Live Arcade and the Playstation Network, but no official word was given from EA on the matter, however Microsoft community leader, Larry Hryb might have just confirmed the direction the game was heading in.

Basketball has always been about the fluid and explosive action on both sides of the court. NBA simulators have captured this, but I have always missed the little details that truly have us jumping onto the basketball court. Does NBA Live 13 solve this problem? Sadly no.

EA Sports Introduces NBA Elite 11 this October

With the Lakers vs. Celtics match-up a reality – and also the name of one of EA Sports early basketball videogames, Electronic Arts has changed the name of its NBA game franchise. NBA ELITE will be the new moniker of the long running NBA videogame franchise.  NBA ELITE 11 will revolutionize the way basketball simulation games are played, with an all-new technology base, a new control scheme and a real-time physics system. Currently in development for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, NBA ELITE 11 will be available in retail stores this October. The game will be shown at E3 2010.
