NEW YORK CITY – ESPN reporter and “Dancing with the Stars” contestant Erin Andrews is in EA Sports new NCAA Football 13 game. Andrews was at the NFL Draft to check out the PlayStation 3 game for the first time, alongside some of the top NFL rookies including Robert Griffin III, Michael Floyd and Trent Richardson. Andrews is a big fan of Richardson, as you’ll see here in this exclusive video interview below.

The biggest names in basketball are battling for a chance to take home the NBA trophy. Although their bank accounts dwarf that of the average gamer, NBA All-Stars do have something in common with videogame fans. They log a lot of their free time playing games online on Xbox Live or PlayStation Network.

NEW YORK CITY – Calvin Johnson, Jr., wide receiver for the Detroit Lions, was selected by millions of fans across the country to grace the cover of Madden NFL 13, which will hit store shelves August 28.  Johnson, a No. 6 seed, defeated fellow NFL Pro Bowler Cam Newton, a No.1seed, in a thrilling matchup culminating in a live unveiling on ESPN’s SportsNation and a cover photo shoot for the winner in New York City’s Times Square. This year’s vote campaign surpassed last year’s totals by 54% (19.6 million vs. 12.7 million), ending with Johnson triumphing over Newton by a final margin of 52% to 48%. EA Sports unveiled the first Madden NFL 13 screenshot showcasing new Nike uniforms. The EA Sports development team was granted early access to the new designs of the NFL uniforms and used this insight to meticulously recreate the Nike clothing in Madden NFL 13. Nike signed a five-year exclusive deal with the NFL, which brings Reebok's reign as official clothing manufacturer to an end in real life and in videogames.

Since March 7, fans nationwide have been casting their votes to determine the next cover athlete for Madden NFL 13, logging 4.3 million votes during the play-in round and more than 8.5 million votes since the start of the bracket phase of the competition on March 21.  Weekly fan voting will determine which of the remaining 16 NFL players will advance through seeded brackets - culminating with the unveiling of the Madden NFL 13 cover athlete winner on ESPN's SportsNation on April 25 at 5 p.m. ET. One of the NFl players still in the hunt is the New England Patriots’ Rob Gronkowsi, who talks Madden and Modern Warfare 3 in the exclusive video below.

EA SPORTS and ESPN are once again allowing fans to cast the vote for the next Madden cover athlete. The Madden NFL Cover Vote campaign for Madden NFL 13 has officially kicked off. Last year, nearly 13 million votes were cast through ESPNSportsNation.com and ESPN mobile in both companies’ most successful cross-platform activation. Tenth-seeded Cleveland Browns running back, Peyton Hillis, trucked through the six week competition all the way to the ultimate end zone – the Madden NFL 12 cover. EA teased this news at the Madden Bowl in Indianapolis during Super Bowl week. INDIANAPOLIS -- The NY Giants beat the New England Patriots again 27-24 again in a squeaker according to the Madden NFL 12 video game from EA Sports based on its virtual simulation of Super Bowl XLVI on Madden. Madden NFL 12 is the de facto, and only, football video game for the NFL season.  Fans have been playing like crazy for the past few months, wondering where the season was going to end up. This Sunday it culminates in a match-up that will pit Brady, going for his fourth Super Bowl ring, along with his favorite target Gronkowski against Eli Manning and his Giants, in the Circle City of Indianapolis. INDIANAPOLIS -- The Circle City isn't just home to Super Bowl XLVI this year, it's also home to Madden Bowl XVIII and the next best thing to winning the Super Bowl for NFL players is to win the Madden Bowl. Jacksonville Jaguars' running back Maurice Jones-Drew knows a thing or two about the Madden Bowl, having won Madden Bowl XVI in Miami a couple of years ago. He's gone on to add the NFL rushing title to his trophy case with 1,606 rushing yards this year. His competitive fire also bleeds through to fantasy football where he is an avid fantasy football player and also hosts his own radio show on XM Sirius titled Runnin' with MJD just talking about fantasy football talk and strategy. This guys loves football no matter if its for real, virtual or fantasy. We caught up with Jones-Drew on the EA Sports' Blue Carpet at the Bud Light Hotel in downtown Indianapolis where Jones-Drew talks about how he's got the bragging rights as the best Madden NFL football player in the NFL. INDIANAPOLIS -- Who needs real football when Madden NFL 12 can deliver a Super Thursday experience with real NFL pros behind the controls. Just when you thought the late fourth quarter dramatics had ended, a virtual version of Tebow Time crashed the EA Sports Madden Bowl XVIII party held at the Bud Light Hotel Thursday in Indianapolis.

Before the New York Giants defeat the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLVI (at least according to the Madden NFL 12 simulation), EA Sports is throwing its annual videogame bash at the Bud Light Hotel. NFL legends past and current will mingle with celebrities. And in addition to the 3-on-3 videogame tournament format, which was introduced last year to incorporate online team play into the mix, there will also be concerts featuring Nas and The Roots. New York’s other quarterback, the Jets’ Jeff Garcia, is a Madden Bowl regular and talks gaming in this exclusive video interview below.

Remember back in the 80's and 90's, when game makers were trying to throw in images of hot women to entice you to buy their product, rather than relying on the strength of the games themselves?  The classic Sega Saturn "naked lady" ad comes to mind, with her most oglesome parts covered by screenshots from Sega games.  Well, Namco seems to remember those days well, as its latest ad for Soul Calibur V seems to point out something a little too obvious -- there are boobs in the game.
