Carmelo who?  A year or so ago, the New York Knicks thought that Carmelo Anthony would be the answer to their problems, making a big blockbuster trade to the Denver Nuggets in order to get him.  But since that time, they haven't really been able to really succeed, despite Melo trying to hustle to the hoop.  However, it's not that guy who's shining for the team right now, as he's currently out on injury (and possibly set to return this weekend).  No, the real star is a guy that was once cut by the Warriors and the Rockets, Justlin Lin.  Ever since he was added to the Knicks roster a little while back, he's been on fire.

The NBA season is rapidly approaching, as we're six days from its kick-off on Christmas day.  With that, 2K Sports has been pushing into overdrive to update its excellent sim NBA 2K12 with all the necessary changes and trades.  The company has informed us today that its latest roster update has gone live, and we've got all the changes right here for you.

Now that Carmelo Anthony has been traded to the New York Knicks, everybody can finally get back to basketball and video games. Anthony was traded to the Knicks along with fellow former Denver Nuggets teammates Chauncey Billups, Anthony Carter, Shelden Williams and Renaldo Balkman. In return, the Nuggets received forwards Danilo Gallinari and WIlson Chandler, point guard Raymond Felton, center Timofey Mozgov, the Knicks' 2014 first-round draft pick and second-round draft picks in the 2012 and 2013 drafts that originally came from the Golden State Warriors. In a separate trade with the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Knicks received Corey Brewer and a second-round draft pick for Anthony Randolph, Eddy Curry's expiring contract and $3 million cash.

Carmelo Anthony talked exclusively to Gamerlive.TV in this exclusive video interview during NBA All-Star weekend about his charity work and foundation and also about video gaming. He played a lot of Galaga back in the day and current loves to play Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Ghost Recon.

LeBron James picks… The Miami Heat. The superstar told Jim Gray on “The Decision” live on ESPN in front of the Boys and Girls Club in Greenwich, Connecticut that he was leaving his hometown to join fellow superstars Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh in South Beach with the Miami Heat. "This fall, I'm going to take my talent to South Beach and join the Miami Heat," said Lebron James. The Akron-born James left his hometown club that drafted him No. 1 pick in the 2003 draft. Rumors swirled all week since free agency started on July 1st and even before that for the last two years. Teams like the New York Knicks, Chicago Bulls and the Miami Heat cleared salary cap space and dumped players to make a play for James. Six teams made pitches coming to Cleveland to present their best reasons for James to come to their teams.
