NBA 2K12 continues to run at a fever pitch in the second half of the shortened NBA season.  The Game of the Year edition is set to hit Best Buy store shelves next week, at a decent price of $49.99; and to help further celebrate the basketball season, Microsoft has added a new jersey to its Xbox Live Avatar line-up that New York Knicks fans in particular will take interest in.  Nope, it's not Carmelo Anthony.  It's Jeremy Lin!

Linsanity continues to captivate the world. And in Orlando, Jeremy Lin was a hot topic amongst the NBA All-Stars. New York Knicks NBA All-Star Carmelo Anthony fielded a lot of Lin questions. But one he did address was the upgrade of Lin in 2K Sports’ NBA 2K12 game. Lin actually received two player upgrades in one week because of his Cinderella story in the NBA. Anthony talks about the in-game player ratings in this exclusive video interview below.

Carmelo who?  A year or so ago, the New York Knicks thought that Carmelo Anthony would be the answer to their problems, making a big blockbuster trade to the Denver Nuggets in order to get him.  But since that time, they haven't really been able to really succeed, despite Melo trying to hustle to the hoop.  However, it's not that guy who's shining for the team right now, as he's currently out on injury (and possibly set to return this weekend).  No, the real star is a guy that was once cut by the Warriors and the Rockets, Justlin Lin.  Ever since he was added to the Knicks roster a little while back, he's been on fire.

In a bold move to counter the New York Knicks landing Carmelo Anthony yesterday, the cross-town New Jersey Nets made a bold statement by landing a superstar of their own in Deron Williams. The Nets sent disgruntled guard Devin Harris, top rookie power forward Derrick Favors, two first round draft picks and $3 million cash to the Jazz for Williams. We caught up with Deron Williams during the past NBA All-Star Weekend to talk about video games. Williams plays all EA Sports games but wouldn't name names as to who the best gamer is on his team. Now that Carmelo Anthony has been traded to the New York Knicks, everybody can finally get back to basketball and video games. Anthony was traded to the Knicks along with fellow former Denver Nuggets teammates Chauncey Billups, Anthony Carter, Shelden Williams and Renaldo Balkman. In return, the Nuggets received forwards Danilo Gallinari and WIlson Chandler, point guard Raymond Felton, center Timofey Mozgov, the Knicks' 2014 first-round draft pick and second-round draft picks in the 2012 and 2013 drafts that originally came from the Golden State Warriors. In a separate trade with the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Knicks received Corey Brewer and a second-round draft pick for Anthony Randolph, Eddy Curry's expiring contract and $3 million cash.
