New England Patriots Rob Gronkowski Still in the Hunt for Madden NFL 13 Cover

Since March 7, fans nationwide have been casting their votes to determine the next cover athlete for Madden NFL 13, logging 4.3 million votes during the play-in round and more than 8.5 million votes since the start of the bracket phase of the competition on March 21.  Weekly fan voting will determine which of the remaining 16 NFL players will advance through seeded brackets - culminating with the unveiling of the Madden NFL 13 cover athlete winner on ESPN's SportsNation on April 25 at 5 p.m. ET. One of the NFl players still in the hunt is the New England Patriots’ Rob Gronkowsi, who talks Madden and Modern Warfare 3 in the exclusive video below.

Spike VGAs 2011: Jerry Rice Talks EA Sports NFL Blitz

On Saturday night during the 2011 Spike “Video Game Awards”, fans exercised their right to vote for the first-ever EA Sports digital cover athlete, choosing Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice for the NFL Blitz cover over fellow Pro Bowlers Roddy White and Patrick Willis. March Madness Continues for Sweet 16 of Madden NFL 12 Cover Athlete Tournament
With March Madness on-going in the NCAA basketball tournament, EA SPORTS and ESPN announced the Sweet 16 NFL players that have advanced through to the next round of the Madden NFL 12 Cover Vote campaign. Players that are still in contention to appear on the cover of Madden NFL 12 include Aaron Rodgers (QB, Packers), Danny Woodhead (RB, Patriots), Drew Brees (QB, Saints) and Patrick Willis (LB, 49ers), along with 12 others. Over 6.8 million votes were cast on ESPN.com’s “SportsNation” during the first week of the Madden NFL 12 Cover Vote campaign (March 21 – 28). As an unexpected snow storm swept through North Texas, Madden Bowl XVII kicked off a wet and wild Super Bowl XLV week in style with an exciting four-team tournament that featured upsets, last-minute victories, and the first female champion in Madden Bowl history. Miami, Florida – There was more than just Super Bowl XLIV between the New Orleans Saints and Indianapolis Colts at stake this week in Miami. Maurice Jones-Drew took home the other trophy – a diamond encrusted Madden Bowl Xbox 360 console – at Madden Bowl XVI. In front of hundreds of NFL players at the swank Clevelander Hotel on South Beach, the Jacksonville Jaguars running back pummeled linebacker Patrick Willis of the San Francisco 49ers 13-3. MJD received his Madden Bowl bling presented by EA SPORTS President Peter Moore.
