In addition to the complete first season of the hit HBO TV series now available on DVD and Blu-ray Disc, there’s a new PC real-time strategy (RTS) game, A Game of Thrones – Genesis, from developer Cyanide and publisher Focus Home Interactive. Gamers will be able to explore the eight Houses of Westeros and prepare for the final battle for the Iron Throne.

One of the big games of 2010 is expanding. Aiur Chef, StarJeweled, and Left 2 Die, three new Blizzard-made custom games for StarCraft II, are now available for beta testing on Battle.net. While these custom games are still under development and Blizzard Entertainment doesn’t have a release date to share, they wanted to give everyone the opportunity to test them out and give feedback before they're officially released. Players simply log into StarCraft II, and navigate to the custom game area to find these new custom games. Blizzard Entertainment announced that StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty achieved a day-one sales milestone of more than 1 million copies sold worldwide, making it the bestselling PC game of 2010 within its first 24 hours of availability. The game went on to sell a total of more than 1.5 million copies in its first 48 hours, setting the record for fastest-selling strategy game of all time.

One of the big games of 2010, and one of the biggest PC games of the year, finally has a release date. Blizzard Entertainment announced that its highly anticipated real-time strategy game, StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty, will arrive in stores throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Russia, Mexico, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, and the regions of Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau starting on July 27, 2010. Players will also be able to purchase StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty directly from Blizzard Entertainment shortly after the retail launch.

NEW YORK CITY – Sega has a new take on console-based real-time strategy on display in New York. StormRise is the latest RTS from acclaimed Sega-owned developer, The Creative Assembly. Having worked on the Total Warm franchise for years, the Australian studio decided to create an original sci-fi RTS for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 4. Vispi Bhopti, studio communications manager, The Creative Assembly, Australia, was on hand in New York to showcase the new game.
