Content about Spartacus

In one of the most entertaining, funny, heartfelt, and star studded panels in Comic Con history, fans went ballistic when seven of Spartacus: Vengeance's main cast surprised the crowd. Originally, only Liam McIntyre (Spartacus), Manu Bennett (Crixus), and writer Steven DeKnight were slated to attend. But halfway through the panel (right after Manu Bennett demonstraed the New Zealand Maori traditional goodbye, "The Haka"), Lucy Lawless (Lucretia) showed up to a roaring crowd and a standing ovation.

San Diego will be swarming with excited fans as Comic Con once again plays host to the largest gathering of televion shows in the world. Networks from across television, from HBO to ABC, bring their most popular series (and some new ones as well) to the one place where fans can ask actors and creators the important questions- like who's gonna die in Game of Throne (perhaps the easier question is who isn't going to die)and what happens when magic swithes hands on Once Upon Tim. Here's our pick for the top 5 must see television panels of 2012.

It's no surprise that Spartacus: Vengeance has done as well as it has. The STARZ show has drawn in an immense (and diverse) crowd. Packed with gore, nudity, sex, and a surprising dose of humanity, the show has done well for itself and has already been renewed for a third season. Writer Steven DeKnight continues to impress with his scripts, as testament to the first episode of season 2. The episode boasted plenty of gore (opening with an impressive sword fight) and holding true to it's "M for Mature" rating. DeKnight did his research, describing in a live web interview recently that he prides the show on being as realistic as possible for the setting. Viewers are taken on a whirlwind ride during every episode, but with all that violence and sex, one has to wonder how the cast feels filming some of these scenes. Liam McIntyre (Spartacus), Lucy Lawless (Lucretia), and Viva Bianca (Illithyia) shared their personal experiences on set – and their answers may surprise you.

STARZ hit television show Spartacus returned to Comic Con for its third consecutive year to introduce their new season, Spartacus: Vengeance. After a hugely successful first season (Spartacus: Blood and Sand) and a brilliant half-season "prequel" series (Spartacus: Gods of the Arena), STARZ is coming back with a vengeance. "It's just a gigantic, gigantic season", said new Spartacus actor Liam McIntyre.

Fans have been anxious and excited to meet the actor who will be replacing Andy Whitfield as the hero of Starz hit "Spartacus: Vengeance" - Liam McIntyre. Comic Con 2011 provided the first chance to meet the actor and see him in action - and fans were not disappointed.
