The long awaited dream match-up between the two leaders in the fighting genre can now be played at home… and on the go. Street Fighter X Tekken on the PlayStation Vita builds upon the action-packed console experience and delivers an expanded version of the ultimate tag team match up. In addition to all 43 of the iconic characters featured on the PlayStation 3 version, 12 new characters will make their debut on the PS Vita, making for one of the most robust character line-ups in fighting game history. With sluggish sales of Nintendo 3DS hardware, Nintendo is targeting its core gaming audience with a summer promotion. Nintendo is embarking on a fun-filled road trip across the United States this summer as a sponsor of the annual Vans Warped Tour, which brings a powerful lineup of live music and lifestyle products to cities from coast to coast. Through Aug. 14, attendees at every stop along the tour will be able to visit interactive Nintendo demo areas and experience the hand-held Nintendo 3DS system, which offers a wide variety of games and portable entertainment options that can be viewed in 3D without the need for special glasses.

The world of fighting games have become quite familiar with two franchises battling it out for supremacy in one game. We have seen many different iterations of this from X-Men Vs. Street Fighter to Capcom Vs. SNK, and all of these games have done pretty well for themselves. It would come as no surprise that eventually Street Fighter and Tekken would cross paths at some point, and they will some time next year in Street Fighter X Tekken (pronounced Street Fighter cross Tekken). LOS ANGELES – Tekken Project Director Katsuhiro Harada was at Namco Bandai’s E3 booth to talk about the new Street Fighter X Tekken game and the Tekken Tag Tournament 2 arcade game and the new theatrical movie. One of the most popular and well-known gaming franchises in the world is getting a 3D big screen treatment courtesy of NCM Fathom, Namco Bandai Games America and Bandai Entertainment. Tekken Blood Vengeance 3D, a special digital cinema event presented in RealD 3D based on the videogame Tekken, will storm into movie theaters for one night, Tuesday, July 26, at 7:30 p.m. local time.
