Nintendo Slashes Pricing on Nintendo DSi Portables
It’s getting more affordable to go portable. Nintendo is dropping the price of its Nintendo DSi and Nintendo DSi XL videogame systems. Effective Sept. 12, the new suggested retail price of the Nintendo DSi system will be $150, while the new suggested retail price for the Nintendo DSi XL system will be $170. The Nintendo DS Lite model will remain at a suggested retail price of $130. The Nintendo DS family of video game systems is the best-selling in the history of the U.S. and worldwide. The new prices offer consumers tremendous value for their money while providing access to the best portable video game experiences possible.

Nintendo Goes Stereoscopic 3D with Launch of Nintendo 3DS Portable

Nintendo of Japan has surprised the videogame industry by announcing a brand new portable gaming device, the Nintendo 3DS (working title), which will allow gamers to play stereoscopic 3D games without wearing 3D glasses. The new gaming system will debut at the E3 show in Los Angeles June 15th and will ship in Japan during Nintendo’s next fiscal year, which ends March 2011.
