Los Angeles – Microsoft used Activision’s first annual Call of Duty XP fan festival to unveil its latest bundle. The Xbox 360 Limited Edition Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 console, wireless headset with Bluetooth and wireless controllers will ship to retail this fall. Microsoft, Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games teamed up to create a Call of Duty collectible, just in time for the most epic Call of Duty experience yet. Aside from its (air)striking good looks, the console will play unmistakable Call of Duty sounds when powering up and when the tray is opened.

One of the big games of 2011 is getting custom controllers from Mad Catz Interactive. Epic Games has extended its licensing agreement with the accessories company to include Gears of War 3. Under the terms of the agreement, Mad Catz has secured global rights to produce and market a range of officially branded specialty controllers, headphones and peripherals for Microsoft's Xbox 360. The products will launch this fall in tandem with the game’s release. When it comes to motion-sensor gaming, consumers are eager to try something new. After allowing Nintendo to own this space for the past four years, Microsoft and Sony have jumped into the fray and both have found early success. Microsoft has sold over 2.5 million Kinect for Xbox 360 hardware packages in its first 25 days. The company said its on target to sell 5 million Kinects worldwide by the end of this year. Every day since the Wii system launched in November 2006, Nintendo has sold an average of 46,000 Wii Remote controllers in the United States. That’s a lot of people playing – and a lot of people playing together. Nintendo’s motion-controlled video games continue to create new players every day. People play Wii to try new experiences not available on other systems, including games like Wii Sports Resort, Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Metroid: Other M. Wii makes games more active, but it also makes them more social. Moms and dads play with their kids, and even grandma and grandpa join in.

LAS VEGAS -- Mad Catz Interactive showcased a variety of new gaming products at CES 2010. One of the highlights of its line-up at the Consumer Electronics Show was the Super Street Fighter IV Arcade FightStick: Tournament Edition “S” available in one of two unique designs along with new character artwork for four newly licensed FightPads. Both the new Tournament Edition “S” and FightPads  are available for the Sony PlayStation 3 and Microsoft Xbox 360.

LAS VEGAS -- Videogame peripheral maker Nyko was out in full force at CES 2010, showcasing new controllers for Nintendo Wii, Microsoft Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Set up off the Consumer Electronics Show floor at the Hilton, gamers will have new options to take control of the virtual action this year -- including Sony's leap to 3D with PlayStation 3.
