Big Games of 2012: Call of Duty: Black Ops II Get Futuristic (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3)

It's been rumored for ages, and badly hidden after bits and pieces being revealed on the Internet, including a Target pre-sale tag and registered domain names.  But now it's no longer a secret -- Activision is working on Call of Duty: Black Ops II.  The game, under development at Treyarch, got its "official" unveil this evening during the NBA playoffs, and the trailer leaked online just a slight bit before that.  It paints a pretty bleak picture, taking place in the year 2026 and featuring a number of unmanned vehicles on patrol, which are soon overtaken by a silent enemy looking to wreak havoc.

Sony Reveals Starhawk - Exclusive Developer Interview and First Gameplay Footage and Screenshots

AUSTIN -- Sony today announced Starhawk, the sequel to its hit game Warhawk, exclusively for the PS3 Playstation game console. Starhawk is being developed by LightBox Interactive, the new Austin-based game studio founded by Warhawk creator Dylan Jobe. The Starhawk game features hero Emmett Graves and his sidekick Sydney Cutter as they do battle in the game's space-based lawless frontier. The game features LightBox's new "Build and Battle" combat system and differentiates itself from other shooters with its area-based AI instead of a path-based AI according to the developers. PAX PRIME 2010: No Joke, 2K Games and Gearbox Finally Reveal Duke Nukem Forever

SEATTLE -- 2K Games and developer Gearbox made a surprise reveal at the PAX PRIME 2010 in Seattle when they showed the game for the first time. PAX Prime 2010, also known as the Penny Arcade Expo, is an annual public show centered around video games. Many of the top video game companies are on hand to show off their latest products, some for the first time like Duke Nukem Forever. Duke Nukem Forever's reveal quickly became the biggest story at PAX because of its long history of false starts and its surprise appearance and announcement at PAX that caught even the game media by surprise.
