GDC 2011: FIFA 10 Introduces Mobile Multiplayer on Sony Ericsson Xperia Play

    SAN FRANCISCO, California – At GDC 2011, Sony Ericsson and Electronic Arts were on hand for the official U.S. unveiling of the new Xperia Play Android phone. The PlayStation Phone features full gaming functionality, including multiplayer options for titles like EA Sports FIFA 10. Verizon Wireless will launch Xperia Play this spring in the U.S., but the phone was playable at the Moscone Center and at a special media unveiling at The Clift hotel in San Francisco.

    Xperia PLAY is powered by the latest version of the Android platform (Gingerbread version 2.3) – and is PlayStation certified, which ensures an optimized gaming experience featuring content from the PlayStation Suite. Xperia PLAY will provide a best-in-class gaming experience right out of the box

    with many of the most popular games pre-loaded, including Asphalt Adrenaline 6, Bruce Lee, Star Battalion, The Sims 3, and Tetris. More than 50 additional titles from top franchises at leading game publishers will be available for purchase at launch.
